I'm not sure why sometimes it works and then doesn't work in the same room without any hardware changes. Rebooting does not seem to make a different. For example if Windows reads 1+3 | 2, that is correct. I've tried a multitude of drivers including USB 3.0 drivers as well.Įdit: I should clarify that Windows always has the right numbering of the screens. On another model computer with an Intel HD 5500 graphics solution, I can always enable those options. I really have no idea what is happening there. Sometimes I can't choose it for any of the external monitors. Now sometimes I can choose that for monitor 2, and not 3. One oddity I noted is that I cannot always choose 'Enabled and Cloned with Monitor #1'. I am running the latest DisplayLink drivers, along with the latest Intel Iris drivers. However, the numbering of monitors changing is really making this not work.Īny help is greatly appreciated. This leads me to believe that DisplayFusion can work independent of hardware models, so long as I pick a resolution that each one can support (and I have done so). DisplayFusion will not allow me to save a profile with the same configuration, even if the monitor models are different. However, this means many of the rooms will have the same configuration eg. This would ensure I could go in, select room number profile, and end up with an optimal display. As a last ditch effort, I figured I could try creating a profile for every single room. I am unsure if DisplayFusion can rectify this.ģ. It seems if Room 1 and Room 2 have different models of monitors, the profiles do not work. I've forced them all to 1280x800 in hopes that DisplayFusion can recognize these as the same monitor sets across different rooms. Some of our monitors have different optimal resolutions. Sometimes 3 profiles will work, and 1 will be a duplicate of another (due to DisplayFusion reading the monitor number different).Ģ. I am able to get those 4 profiles working in a room, but for an unknown reason, sometimes the display numbers will change and 2 of my profiles are duplicates of the other. Sometimes DisplayFusion and Windows Display settings show different screen numbers. These 4 profiles should cover every type of configuration (and even if Windows reverses projector order).ġ. Room layouts are different so sometimes you need a reverse configuration. The ideal situation is for the laptop (connected via DisplayLink USB 3.0 dock) to duplicate to one screen, and extend to the other. I've got an environment where we are running 2 projectors in various rooms.
